This document provides a comprehensive guide to troubleshooting issues that prevent the plugin from loading in your digital audio workstation (DAW) following the installation of your package files.

Double Check Installation:

Let’s start by making sure your installer installed your plugin files in the correct place.

macOS

Check the following folders to confirm if your plugin file installed.

  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

Windows

Check the following folders to confirm if your plugin file installed.

  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST

What To Do If You Don’t See Your Plugin Files In Folders:

If you don’t see the plugin files in your plugin folders first double check that you ran the right installer.

If you are positive that you ran the right installer and the files still did not install there could be an error with your installer.

This could be caused by the initial download folder not fully downloading or it could be cause by internal issues depending on what operating system you are on.

If this is the case please email support@clarkaudio.com. We will help further troubleshoot and provide you with a new installer to run.

What To Do If You See Your Files But Your Plugin Still Won’t Load:

  • Double check to make sure your DAW is scanning the right folders to find your plugin
  • Re-start your computer -> open DAW -> re-scan for plugins
  • Double check to make sure your DAW is updated to the latest version
  • Make sure you are on a 64 bit system (32 bit is not supported any longer)

Additional Troubleshooting:

  • If your plug-in is not working, the installation might be corrupted. Uninstall and reinstall the latest version of the plug-in
  • Make sure to create a stereo audio track in Pro Tools (mono might not work properly)
  • Make sure you are using a DAW which supports VST/ AU/ AAX
