Basement Grit is inspired by the raw, do-it-yourself spirit of the 1990s underground music scene. A time when music was often made in basements, bedrooms, and back rooms using whatever gear was available. Budget synths, early samplers, worn tapes, and imperfect recordings shaped a sound that was dark, gritty, and unmistakably human.

We sampled and reworked a handful of these old machines and textures to capture that feeling. Dusty synths, degraded basses, uneasy pads, and layers of noise and character that feel lived-in rather than polished.

Taped Keys captures the sound of worn keys softened by tape and time. Warm, imperfect, and expressive, it’s built for producers who want emotion and character the moment they play a chord.

A curated collection of character-rich Japanese strings and flutes, captured with warmth, imperfection, and depth. From Guzheng and Koto to expressive bowed strings and airy flutes, each sound is infused with tape grit, noise textures, and tasteful sound design for a refined yet raw sonic palette.

Residue focuses on warm, organic pads & textures built from strings, winds, and textured synths. Subtle, musical, and expressive, it’s designed to sit beneath your ideas and make them feel fuller and more complete.
