DAW Crashing or Performance Issues:

Clark Audio plugins are thoroughly tested on supported systems and DAWs. If your DAW is crashing, freezing, running out of memory, or experiencing general performance problems, the issue may be related to your DAW, computer, system resources, configuration, or compatibility rather than the plugin itself.

Clark Audio Support cannot troubleshoot or provide technical support for DAW or computer-related issues.

Before reporting a possible plugin issue, please confirm the following:

01 — Make Sure Your DAW Supports the Plugin Format

Our plugins are provided in:

Windows: VST3
macOS: VST3 and AU

Your DAW must support one of these plugin formats.

If your DAW does not support VST3 or AU plugins, the plugin is not compatible with that DAW.

02 — Update Your DAW

Make sure you’re running a current, supported version of your DAW.

Older or unsupported DAW versions can experience compatibility problems with newer plugins and operating systems.

03 — Check Your Computer

Your computer must have sufficient resources to run your DAW, project, and plugins.

Crashes, freezing, audio dropouts, and poor performance can occur when your system is low on RAM, CPU resources, or available storage.

04 — Test the Plugin in a New Project

Create a new, empty DAW project and load only the Clark Audio plugin.

If the plugin works normally in a new project, the problem is likely related to your original project, another plugin, routing, system resources, or your DAW configuration.

05 — Restart & Rescan

Restart your computer, open your DAW, and perform a complete plugin rescan if your DAW provides this option.

06 — Verify Your DAW

If the problem continues, test the plugin in another supported, up-to-date DAW if one is available.

If the plugin operates normally in another DAW, this strongly indicates that the issue is specific to your original DAW or its configuration.
